We are pleased to announce an upcoming PharmCare Symposium 2017 with the theme 'Future Paradigm of Pharmaceutical Care Research' on 5-6th August 2017.
PharmCare Symposium is a symposium dedicated to promote advances in Clinical Pharmacy. The symposium aims to further foster and stimulate knowledge and research exchange and collaboration. The scientific program will include both the talks from clinical pharmacy experts and dissemination of the recent findings by researchers to highlight some major developments in Clinical Pharmacy.

Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society-Pharmacy Scientific Conference 2017
The Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society-Pharmacy Scientific Conference (MPS-PSC) is an established conference that has been held since 2001. It aims to provide an opportunity for delegates to present their research and to expose delegates to the advancements and progress made in the various disciplines of pharmacy.
At the conference, participants have a meeting place to integrate scientific knowledge from various scientific disciplines of pharmacy, notably community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, pharmaceutical technology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, herbal sciences and many others. Such an opportunity will provide hospital, community, regulatory/ enforcement and industrial pharmacists, policy makers, academicians, students, pharmaceutical scientists, other researchers to share their research findings, to establish networks and pursue continuing professional development.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 46 years since the first establishment of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, USM! The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, USM invites alumni from all graduating classes to reunite with classmates and friends at the alumni gathering. Come and reminisce with the alumni on 24th November 2018.
The day starts with FUTSAL TOURNAMENT and continued with the ALUMNI TEA 2018 Gathering at Eastin Hotel, Penang from 2.30-7.00pm.

Career Talk 2016 was held on the 3rd December 2016 at DK Y School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, USM. The event was organized in the hope of exposing the future USM graduates on the diversity of pharmacy career. This event also helps to foster and stimulate the exchange of views between the pharmaceutical expert/stakeholders and USM future graduates. Also, this activity aims to provide basic guidelines to prepare the USM graduates with soft skills to face the unforeseen future.
Opening speech by the deputy dean of the school for academic, students and alumni, Assoc. Prof. Dr Nurzalina Abdul Karim Khan
A total of 98 final year students from the school has attended the event, making the first event organized by PUSMA a successful one. Guest speakers who are known to be very successful in different pharmaceutical fields, namely industry and local community pharmacy, were invited to share their experiences and to introduce the students to the various roles of pharmacists from different backgrounds including industrial pharmacy, business in pharmacy, academia and research in pharmacy as well as enforcement in pharmacy. There was also a sharing session with provisionally registered pharmacists graduated from the school. They shared valuable tips in tackling competitive challenges during job interview and also during housemanship training with the students during this session. In addition to that, the students gained precious experience on effective interviewing techniques and successful curriculum vitae writing skills during practical session in a workshop coordinated by Talent Corp Malaysia in the afternoon.
